Blank Vineyard

For over twenty years Grace Family produced a single vineyard wine from this unique property in the Rutherford AVA.

Blank Vineyard became part of the Grace Family Vineyards portfolio in the late 1990s, born of a friendship between the two families.

Blank Vineyard is tiny, just 1.7 acres located in the sweet spot for Rutherford Cabernet. Here the Napa River bisects the valley, acting as the central backbone with hillsides that gently slough down to the middle.

Featuring alluvial soils from the hillsides mixed with river cobble deposits, the vineyard was planted entirely to the Grace clone of Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vines beneath Blank’s towering eucalyptus tree are routinely harvested separately and fermented in a puncheon. Blended back in very small amounts, the fruit brings a freshness and hint of mint that adds to the wine’s stunning complexity.

Blank’s vigorous vines are tamed with a permanent grass cover and a meticulous irrigation regimen.

Blue fruit-driven, Blank Cabernet Sauvignon is accessible yet complex, with a soft, velvety, round texture. Pretty and plush, the fruit from this vineyard makes a complete wine with great length.

Grace Family Estate Vineyard

There is a fingerprint to this wine. The winemakers have changed over the years, yet tasting through the vintages there is a sure sense of the terroir.

Cornelius Grove Vineyard

Nestled in the hillsides on the west side of the St. Helena AVA, Cornelius Grove sits within the Heath Canyon Ranch, a site that has been family-farmed since the early 1900's.
